Welcome to Odyssey International

Kevin Shannon Jr and Sr are a father and son duo who, together with their stellar team, welcome guests to Ireland through Destination Management Company Odyssey International. 

The pair create bespoke incentive trips and corporate packages for groups visiting Ireland, and are always thinking outside the box when it comes to fresh and exciting ideas. “We try to find things that people couldn’t do if they were here on their own”, begins Kevin Snr.

The K-Club

Recently, Odyssey hosted an American corporate group, and the Kevins were keen to welcome their guests in a uniquely Irish way. “They wanted something very special that would really drive home to delegates that they were in Ireland. We decided on the K Club in Kildare as the venue, focusing on a beautiful forest island on its golf course.”  

Kevin Jr elaborates: “On the night, we brought in tipis, decorated the trees in subtle fairy lights, and led people in with lanterns. We had a magnificent food presentation, whiskey tastings, super entertainment from Celtic drummers. It really showcased druidic, mystical Ireland – that was a fantastic first night for them, they really thought: ‘We’ve arrived!’”

For the Kevins, Ireland is an amazing place in which to celebrate and collaborate. “Obviously there’s lots of competition between towns and hotels”, says Kevin Snr, “but on a big occasion, there’s also a fantastic sense of co-operation. Every now and then a real biggie comes along, maybe 3,000 people. And we all know we need to be in this together – Ireland is a fantastic place for everybody getting on the team.”
