Saint Patrick's Cathedral has been at the heart of Dublin and Ireland's history and culture for over 800 years. Founded at the site of a sacred well where Saint Patrick is said to have converted pagans to Christianity, Saint Patrick's is the largest cathedral in Ireland. It has been visited by some of Irish history's most influential individuals from Cromwell, William of Orange and King James 1, to Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert. It is the final resting place for one of Ireland's most famous men, Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's travels and Dean of the Cathedral.
Today, the Cathedral's unique environment and architecture make it an ideal venue for seated dinners for up to 250 guests, cocktail receptions for up to 750 guests, award ceremonies, and more. For small events, the recently renovated Lady Chapel provides an intimate setting, complete with updated lighting and sound. The striking architecture of the nave with its soaring columns and vaulted ceiling makes it a distinctive space for gala events. To augment your event, include a private performance from the Cathedral choir, an institution with a rich history including the first performance of Handel's Messiah. We also offer after-hours and behind-the-scenes tours for private bookings.
