Through many generations of family ownership, The West Cork Hotel remains an iconic hotel in Skibbereen and indeed West Cork. Deeply rooted in the community, it is the warmth of The West Cork Hotel’s staff, relaxed charm and town centre location that reveal the true heart of this hotel. Family owned since it was built in 1902, the hotel was acquired by Skibbereen residents Tim and Marion Looney in 2006 who pledged to continue the hotel's ethos of old fashioned Irish hospitality and value. Ideally located for visiting all of the tourist attractions West Cork & the Wild Atlantic Way have to offer, Skibbereen Heritage Center, Baltimore and the Islands, Schull, Mizen Head, Glandore, Union Hall, Lough Hyne, Sheeps Head and The Beara Pennisula. The hotel has a range of Meeting and Conference facilities to suit every group, conference and event. Smaller more intimate rooms which hold up to 60 people and for larger conferences, weddings and events, Dalys and the Ilen Suite can accommodate up to 300 guests. After a major expansion programme in 2016 the hotel now offers 49 en-suite rooms. Our new Superior Rooms offer the highest level of luxury, most of them taking full advantage of the stunning views over the beautiful River Ilen.
