Business events venues return to full capacity and normal hospitality hours resume

The Irish Government has announced that as of 22 January 2022, almost all Covid-19 restrictions in Ireland will come to an end.

For business events, this means that venues and hotels can operate at full capacity for both indoor and outdoor events, with food and beverage establishments resuming normal service hours. Requirements to have a valid Digital Covid-19 Certificate to enter various premises no longer applies. In addition, sectoral protective measures have also been removed, including physical distancing.

Paul Mockler, Head of Commercial Development at Fáilte Ireland (the National Tourism Development Authority), said:

This is excellent news for the business events industry and means that international event planners can now move forward in the knowledge that they can host business events in Ireland. We can’t wait to welcome back international planners and delegates from around the world and will be ready to extend our warm Irish welcome.
