The Meet in Ireland team will be exhibiting at IMEX Las Vegas this year, alongside 3,500 other industry professionals from 150 different countries around the world. We'll be joined on our booth by 36 of Ireland's top MICE providers to showcase Ireland's world-class meeting and events offering to a worldwide audience.
The IMEX event will run over the course of three days (10-12 September) at one of the largest convention centres in the world, Sands Convention and Expo center in Las Vegas. There will be plenty of exciting things happening at the Meet in Ireland stand over the three days, including presentations and the opportunity to have one-on-one appointments with leading Irish suppliers. On day two of the expo (Wednesday, 11 September) we'll be having a party at 5:30pm where our guests get to discover the fun and magic of an Irish music and dancing session in full swing. A commitment to sustainability is increasingly at the top of the agenda in the global business events community. Whilst spreading the word about Ireland's amazing MICE opportunities, we'll also be focusing on doing this in an environmentally responsible way. To help achieve this, we'll be using biodegradable pens, compostable cups when serving tea and coffee at our stand, and fully compostable knives and forks and paper food containers.
We've also gone one step further by restocking our upcoming merchandise range with environmentally conscious items such as luggage tags, notebooks and folders made of ELeather, a sustainably produced material that minimises water wastage and reuses leather that would otherwise go into landfill. The notebook is made from paper that's certified as sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council. In addition, we’ve moved to bamboo lanyards. These items will all be implemented shortly and, in the meantime, we're using up old items to minimise wastage. We're excited about joining the movement for a greener planet!
