Get In Touch

Titanic Tales

Cork’s Maritime Gateway

Cork City Hall on the banks of the River Lee, Ireland

Duration: 48 Hours | Group Size: 20 | Locations visited: Bennet’s Court, Titanic Experience Cobh & Spike Island, Cork Gaol

The sky is the limit when it comes to unique incentive experiences in Ireland, and this sample itinerary delivers a touch of historical glamour in beautiful Cork City and County. Aimed at middle management teams, it’s designed to reward performance and encourage team spirit, with each team-building activity customisable to suit individual groups.

Locations for Titanic Tales in Cork’s Maritime Gateway were carefully selected to achieve maximum impact and make every attendee feel special. Highlights of this corporate incentive travel programme included chauffeur collection from the airport, authentically Irish historical experiences, and luxury accommodation.

Day One

Gourmet Treatment

Hayfield Manor 5 Star Hotel in Cork City
Upon arrival into Cork International Airport, VIP groups are driven by chauffeur to beautiful Cuskinny Court (formerly Bennett’s Court) where they will be personally greeted by Lord Bennett, his wife Mary and their staff.
Stepping back in history, participants will immerse themselves in evocative times gone by — becoming household servants of Captain Bennett, they’ll learn the household skills required of maids and butlers while uncovering the dark stories of the house and a secret tunnel. Full costumes are essential for this section of the morning, and will be provided upon arrival.

For lunch, participants will be treated to a gourmet cookery demonstration by the Head Cook of Cuskinny Court. In the afternoon groups will escape their chores and learn some traditional Irish dancing and try their hand at the sport of hurling on the grounds with the other servants.

Day One

Dressing for Dinner

The Church of St Anne located in the Shandon district of Cork City, Ireland

After the games, guests will be able to use newfound wealth to buy their positions as Lords and Ladies. With their new titles, guests will change costume and prepare for a more glamorous lifestyle.

Full black-tie attire will be required for a pre-dinner drinks reception with a classical string quartet, before groups make their way to the main banqueting for a sumptuous gala dinner. During dessert, guests will be entertained with an exclusive concert performance by talented trio Afiniti.

Day Two

Lords & Ladles

The Titanic Experience, Cobh, Co. Cork

Ladies and lords will wake to a delicious breakfast, followed by a luxury tour of Cork’s countryside in vintage cars. The full fleet of elegant vintage cars will make their way towards the beautiful village of Cobh, final departure point of the ill-fated Titanic cruise ship.

Participants will receive a boarding card before embarking on a VIP tour of Titanic Experience Cobh. During the visit, guests will experience life aboard the Titanic and find out more about conditions on board for first and third class passengers. When disaster strikes, the group will experience the horror of the sinking, through a unique cinematographic experience.

Day Two

All Aboard

Cork City Gaol Experience

The group will enjoy lunch at the Titanic Bar & Grill before departing on a short and scenic ferry ride from Cobh to Spike Island. On this ruggedly beautiful spot, skilled storytellers will spin tales about the history and mysteries of the island, before the group embarks on their own discovery tour. Upon returning to Cobh, they’ll be transferred back to the hotel with time to change for dinner.

The next destination is atmospheric Cork Gaol, a venue steeped in history and intrigue. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the flavours of delicious regional treats in a market-style experience, before making their way to the main dining room. After dinner, a traditional Irish band will entertain guests and encourage them to take part in a rousing, toe-tapping Céili dance.
